Ingredients to be added according to the recipe:
For plain sponge cake: 3 eggs, 100 ml (half a cup) water
For Sponge Cake with Cocoa: 4 eggs, 100 ml (half a cup) water, 30 ml (3 tablespoons) vegetable oil, 25 g Dr. Oetker cocoa, As desired, a pinch of cinnamon.
Cake pan suggestion: 26 cm diameter springform pan
Cooking time: Approximately 40-45 minutes
Electric Oven Settings:
Turbo cooking: 170 °C (preheated)
Top/bottom heating: 170 °C (preheated)
Preparation:
1) Before baking and preparing the batter: Preheat the oven to the specified temperature. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with margarine or line it with baking paper. To the flour mixture in the mixing bowl, add the above-mentioned ingredients according to your preference for plain or chocolate sponge cake. With the mixer’s whisk attachments, whip first on low then on high speed for a total of 5 minutes.
2) Baking the Batter: Pour the batter into the mold and smooth the surface. Place the mold in the middle rack of the oven and bake for the specified time.
3) Decoration: After removing from the oven, use a knife to detach the sides of the mold and remove it, then let the sponge cake cool. Cut the cooled sponge cake horizontally into 2 or 3 layers, fill with Dr. Oetker Baker’s Creams, and decorate the top with Dr. Oetker Cake Creams and Dr. Oetker Decor Series products before serving.
Ingredients: Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, emulsifiers (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, lactic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, acetic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), raising agents (sodium pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate), glucose syrup, skimmed milk powder, vanilla, thickener (xanthan gum).
Contains no pork fat or any products derived from pork.
